Inspiration 02: Espresso && Flowers

I know I have been MIA but I have been doing some improvements…

I have been doing a lot of productive things to improve my life and habits. I took a laps for some personal care as well as some house loving. Personally I have just been resetting myself to hopefully improve some habits and scheduling of my lifestyle. For my house I have been doing some extra cleaning to help give her some love. I have also been improving my quarantine love life. Then of course I have been planning to improve my work ethic and productivity.

For my personal life I have been focusing on my hobbies and figuring out a way to incorporate them all into my schedule. These hobbies include reading, TV/movies, baking, and cooking for this week.

I am currently reading…

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo. I am a little under halfway through this fantasy/sci-fi based at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut. It follows the Galaxy ‘Alex’ Stern and her journey through Yale’s secret societies. It is a very captivating story and I am thrilled that I chose it for my Book of the Month Club. I have decided that my next book will be a little lighter of a read with Reflection by Elizabeth Lim. This is a book from the Disney’s A Twisted Tale series and obviously is the one based on Disney’s Mulan. I have read the Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, and Beauty and the Beast (1-3) so far and absolutely LOVED them!! So I highly recommend looking into reading them. I am currently on the look to get more of them. After I finish Reflection I plan on moving back into the Witcher Series. I have already read the first three and will be starting back up with The Tower of Swallows (The Witcher Book 4) by Andrzej Sapkowski. If you haven’t read any of The Witcher series or played any of The Witcher games, I HIGHLY recommend looking into it! If you love fantasy and mythology this is perfect for you! Yes, I am looking at you LOTR and GOT fans!!! If you are not into reading or gaming, that is fine because they made a Netflix Series and the first season is out. Netflix’s The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as the one and only Geralt of Rivia (the witcher). It is very well done and I am super excited to see how much they follow along to both the book and gaming series!

The current TBR

Now that I got the bibliophile out of me…

… I have also been catching up on some of the shows I have been watching! I finally finished The Vampire Diary’s on Netflix and cried like a baby. I have also been keeping up weekly with The Prodigal Son and Little Fires Everywhere. The Prodigal Son is just my basic crime stopping genre that I have been addicted to ever since Law & Order: SVU. The acting is very well done and I mean the top dog serial killer is played by Micheal Sheen. It is a crime show worthy of a watch. Then Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere is based on the award winning novel Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. I have some personal opinions about this book and I am going to save the details until after I finish the TV series for a full review post.

I have also recently watch Disney’s newest production, Pixar’s Onward, starring the voices of Tom Holland and Chris Pratt. I wasn’t too interested in the movie to start off but they released it early on Disney+ so I had to find out what it was all about. I Really enjoyed it. It had a wonderful plot, beautiful animation, and absolutely outstanding character arcs! All together it was a very good film and I am super happy I watched it when I did.

Some more ways I have been entertaining myself is with a new mobile game, I know a bit of a time waster but it also relaxes me. I am now a level 31 in Disney’s Sorcerer’s Arena, a turn based combat game with Disney characters and references. I am having a blast trying to collect and level up all my favorite characters and their special abilities.

If you haven’t guessed already I am a huge Disney nerd (Disnerd).

On the business aspect of life…

… I have been planning a new approach to my services. I have labeled myself as a freelance writer and also Instagram management services. I updated my service plans page on the website! I have a steady plan for my portfolio and I am working on getting that set up on the website by the end of the week. I am going to be doing some research and expanding that portfolio as well this week (and future weeks). I have decided to start taking book notes again. I used to do this all the time; I would mark different phrases, plot lines, and character arcs, as well as, content that is worthy of discussion and then I would put them into a format outline. I am very excited to start this up again because it will help me write more book reviews too!

Stay on the lookout…

… for new blog posts all week. I am ready to get my new plans in action!

Preview for tomorrows post: Happy National Gardening Day!
